If you are looking to establish a commentary service, in-store radio or live event coverage, we can help.
With a large team of broadcast journalists and production staff, we are ideally placed to deliver, no matter how big or small the broadcast requirement.
ICS is steeped in radio, with state-of-the-art studios in our Leeds office and broadcasting facilities in many overseas locations. We specialise in the creation of compelling sports, entertainment and news audio services, meaning we can create exciting full radio output as well as contributing to programming and bulletins.
Radio is the perfect medium for sports coverage and we have a great deal of experience in this field.
Some of our popular ready-to-go live services are available to brand and stream. These include:
Cheltenham Radio is the official radio service for the premier national hunt track in British racing. It is broadcast live in the Cheltenham area on FM as well as being available on headsets sold at the track and via speakers. The service is provided direct from the track each raceday with great content including big name interviews, features, detailed previews, weather forecasts, going, betting, commentary and analysis. We have a strong team of broadcasters and additional production staff working on the service, while we are on air from Cheltenham as soon as the gates open until an hour or so after the final race.
Football Live is a fast-moving and compelling live radio score updates and match reports show covering the major European leagues and international matches. It is broadcast every Saturday and Sunday throughout the football season. Knowledgeable presenters and skilled specialist reporters provide goal flashes, informed detailed reports, discussion, analysis and entertaining debate across all the popular European leagues including the Premier League, La Liga, Bundesliga, Serie A, Ligue 1 and the Eredivisie. With 12-20 different broadcasters featured each day combined with strong production qualities, the show has a truly international feel, meaning fans have a one-stop shop for all their matchday needs.
Over the years, there has been a trend for commercial radio to withdraw from providing strong local sports output due to the high costs of such coverage. We are on hand to offer a solution.
We already produce match reports, previews and live updates for most football teams across most regions and do the same for cricket, both rugby codes and other sports. We also broadcast individual club bulletins for most English and Scottish league teams on a daily basis.
We are also the official distributors of horse racing commentaries in the UK and Ireland meaning we can look to feature race coverage from tracks in the locality of any station without needing to spend on any outside broadcast infrastructure.
We have many ready-to-go sports and entertainment bulletins and can easily and cost-effectively produce regional bulletins for any network. We can provide full programmes or reports for use within shows and these can be combined with advertising or sponsorship opportunities to boost revenue.
Below is a summary of some of the things we can supply, which can be tailored to any geographic area:
- Local sports news bulletins (3 x daily)
- Match reports for any sports teams in any region
- Local weekend sports previews (supplied each Friday)
- Full Saturday or Sunday afternoon regional sports shows
- Horse Racing commentary
- Horse Racing tipsters
- Live sports correspondents for Q&A
- Sports features
We can offer a multitude of in-store radio options, with in full or in part solutions. Previous projects include recording daily news bulletins for the Rio Olympics for a major supermarket chain and daily Euro 2016 bulletins for a large retailer.
We pride ourselves on delivering a tailor-made service to fit any brand and we can design the service from content to delivery and support.
We can create your own shows, bulletins and ad breaks, tailored to your needs whatever the sector.
ICS are experts in providing commentary, particularly on sports events.
Our successful commentary services have grown alongside demands from customers for more engaging in-play content.
We stream to mobile and desktop and the service is simple to integrate. There are no set-up costs and services can be established very quickly as we can simply provide a URL to a branded pop-up player.
We can broadcast independently as ‘off-tube’ studio commentary whereby our broadcasters use TV pictures as an information source to provide an original audio output. Alternatively, we can work alongside rights holders to transmit and commercialise official feeds.
For bookmakers, commentary is important as it enhances the betting experience, as well as encouraging further in-play punting, whilst it also makes for popular telephone services and radio apps.
Our service is true radio-style commentary in that it is designed for the listener rather than the audio being stripped from a video or TV service, which would assume the listener can also see the action. Our services are highly descriptive and we enhance the commentary further by using specialist and knowledgeable summarisers to preview and review the action as well as to add more context as the event unfolds.
We provide engaging football commentary to enhance the betting experience and encourage further in-play punting. Online radio is growing considerably and the ability to follow a match of choice is true on-demand listening and provides great engagement for punters who are looking to experience the thrills and spills of a game.
Our studio-produced football commentaries offer great excitement and can be delivered in any required language and format, both for mobile and desktop.
We cover all 380 Premier League matches plus games from all the top leagues around the world.
Our existing ‘core’ football coverage includes:
- Premier League
- Champions League
- Europa League
- La Liga
- Serie A
- Ligue 1
- Primeira Liga
- International championships such as the World Cup and Euros
- Any other league of interest
The ability to listen to ALL Premier League matches in particular is a real draw. When supplemented with other important leagues, this means there are times that many commentaries can be offered simultaneously, contributing to a dynamic match centre and encouraging punters to stick with your brand.
Horse Racing Commentary
ICS works with GBI to supply the official commentary for ALL horse racing meetings in the UK and Ireland on a daily basis. As well as commentating on each race as it unfolds, our racing experts also conduct previews, analysis and discussion between races, allowing punters to become more informed and stay engaged with the service.
Racing commentary radio services are very popular and tend to be listened to by regular punters who want the latest information and the ability to experience the thrill of a race they are betting on.
ICS delivers engaging ball-by-ball commentary and expert analysis of all England internationals (Test, ODI and Twenty20) plus coverage of major tournaments across the cricketing world.
Greyhound racing is thrilling in its simplicity and we provide official daily BAGS commentary and presentation covering all meetings every day.
ICS operates full broadcast studios in the basement of Manor House, with additional recording booths and equipment elsewhere in the building. We also have studios in other countries.
All studios are fully supported with in-house production staff and contain state-of-the-art recording equipment and digital editing facilities.
The studios are available for hire or managed use.
Alternatively, we can arrange for full or partial production of services on request in over 55 languages.
Broadcast Training and Work Experience
Our expert team of presenters, commentators and voice-over specialists enjoy nothing more than passing on their experience across the many different channels of broadcast media.
We can devise short hands-on training programmes to help nurture and develop skills for those whose jobs require exposure to the media either directly or indirectly.
We can also offer an invaluable service to sports fans who ‘want a go’ at sports commentating or general broadcasting as more of a recreational interest.
Meanwhile, we have strong relationships with local universities and frequently accept students who are looking for work experience or other opportunities in the media sector.
