ICS Newsletter – September 2015

It’s the start of another month and with a rainy August giving way to an inevitably rainy September, here’s a look at what’s been happening across the ICS Mediagroup recently.

State of Things

The start of the new football season went smoothly, with all of the audio and text commentaries being successfully delivered, while the first few editions of our Football Live radio show were also well-received. All other projects are also progressing well.

Staffing Changes

We are currently recruiting for a new Business Development Executive after Alex Humphries left the company in mid-August. We would like to thank Alex for his work with ICS and wish him well in the future. We will be interviewing for his replacement over the next few weeks and are hoping to make an appointment soon.

RU ready for the World Cup?

The Rugby World Cup starts this month, with England hosting the event, and ICS will be producing audio coverage of the tournament.

We will be providing off-tube studio commentary of all of England, Wales, Scotland, Ireland and Australia’s group games before commentating on all of the matches during the knockout stages.

Also, in the run up and during the tournament, we will also be delivering Rugby World Cup news bulletins for a leading high street brand up and down the UK.

Your local store will be getting two daily reports, with details on all the latest news and match details.

The tournament gets underway on Friday 18 September with the opening game between England and Fiji, while the final takes place at Twickenham on Saturday 31 October.

World’s Biggest Coffee Morning

Calling all amateur bakers! On Friday 25 September, we will once again be taking part in the World’s Biggest Coffee Morning on behalf of MacMillan Cancer Research and we need you to get in the kitchen and bake some delicious goodies to share with everyone.

Last year we had nearly 20 different types of cake and managed to raise £196.31 for a very worthy cause. We are hoping to top £200 this time around. If you can’t bake then you can still join us from 11am in the downstairs office but don’t forget to bring a donation!
