ICS and ICS-digital have both joined the British Chambers of Commerce and hope to harness their expertise in order to boost business opportunities.
Representing UK businesses from small start-ups to multinationals, the British Chambers of Commerce offer a wide range of advice and a number of workshops covering everything from the legal issues of operating in international markets to facilitating business contacts in various territories, both at home and abroad.
We were particularly impressed with two networking events we attended back in March which were run by the affiliated China-Britain Business Council. Following a subsequent meeting with our local Chambers in West Yorkshire, we felt that joining the BCC would be highly beneficial as we look to expand our overseas operations, as well as secure more clients in the UK.
Speaking about the partnership, Business Development Manager Dean Rayson said: “This is a great opportunity to partner with the Chambers and spread the word about our wide range of services. Along with our core UK content, we support many international brands and feel that the knowledge, skills and contacts we have can be of use to Chamber members. We are looking forward to developing many relationships through our first year and beyond.”
Meanwhile, ICS director Cheryl Westerman stressed: “The Chambers is a vast network of professionals from all industry sectors and we are hoping to gain access to this for the benefit of the business. We are hoping that membership will help us to enhance the company by boosting our skills set as well as giving us the ability to meet potential clients and advisors. We are also now able to lend our industry knowledge and expertise to all other Chamber members which in itself could bring us opportunities.”
